Of the things we have found to do while buzzing around Lake Geneva getting to know what it has to offer, we have discovered that one of our favorite is checking out the
Farmers Market held in front of Horticultural Hall, held every Thursday. May – October from 8:00am – 1:00pm, rain or shine.
Today was the first one for 2016 so we had to check it out! Zeus chaperoned and was quite the hit with both the other attendees and vendors. It is just a short walk from our house, which made for a nice enjoyable walk in sunny 70 degree weather.
Local shop owners & farmers let you sample their wares before you buy. You can find fresh produce and fruit, field harvested flowers, specialty baked goods, jams, salsa’s as well as handmade artisan jewelry, pottery, soaps, pet products and such.
Our personal tour, this time around, consisted of a stop to pick up some fresh shrimp, small personal sized baked pies, smoked maple bacon (wonder which overnight guests will get to sample that?), handmade red bell pepper angel hair pasta and some fresh daffodils, hyacinths and tulips for the table!
Stop by, you won’t go away empty handed!
